Subcommittees focusing on critical areas such as quality and safety, workforce and culture, finance and resources, and innovation would also be established. The PEC would provide quarterly reports to the Board, covering a range of topics including performance, risks, cultural indicators, and operational issues, ensuring transparency and accountability.

The society argues that this proposed structure would create a clear governance framework, with a 'governance triangle' between the board, the executive management team, and the PEC, each independently accountable for different aspects of Manx Care's performance. They believe these measures would enhance organizational culture and support the delivery of safe and effective care.

Implementing these changes would require amendments to the Manx Care Act 2021. In their communication with the media and politicians, the society expressed their willingness to collaborate with the Isle of Man Government to develop a governance approach that strengthens public confidence and improves patient outcomes.
