The 2025 FIA President's Awards: Celebrating Excellence and Innovation in Motorsport
The FIA, the global governing body for motorsport, recently announced the winners of the 2025 FIA President's Awards during the FIA General Assemblies week in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This prestigious recognition program, launched by FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem in 2022, celebrates the excellence, creativity, and positive community impact of FIA Member Clubs worldwide.
With two new categories introduced this year, 'Excellence in Communication' and 'National Motorsport Achievement', the awards received a record 72 entries. An expert panel of judges carefully selected the winners, who will each receive €10,000 to reinvest in their ongoing activities, showcasing the FIA's commitment to supporting its Member Clubs.
Excellence in Communication Award:
The Speciality Equipment Market Association (SEMA) was honored with this award for its two-year national advocacy campaign defending Americans' right to choose between internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles. The 'Fight to Preserve Vehicle Choice in the U.S.' project united 7,000 small businesses, 70 million automotive enthusiasts, and lawmakers from diverse political backgrounds.
National Motorsport Achievement Award:
Svenska Bilsportförbundet (SBF) received this prestigious award for their groundbreaking project, 'Biodiversity and Motorsport – Racing for Nature'. SBF's innovative approach involves integrating ecological practices into motorsport operations through on-site studies, expert partnerships, and national communications. As a result, ten circuits have implemented habitat restoration, dry-meadow creation, and pollinator-friendly landscaping, supported by national agencies.
